Nike has ended its relationship with ASAP Bari after accusations of sexual assault were leveled against the ASAP Mob co-founder earlier this month. The brand confirmed with Sole Collector that it has dropped Bari as a collaborator.
"We can confirm we are no longer working together," a Nike spokesperson said.
The accusations against Bari stem from a video that surfaced on social media on July 12 appearing to depict him demanding oral sex from a distraught woman. Bari addressed the event the next day, saying that he and the woman had "resolved [the] issue amicably."
Nike and ASAP Bari released the Vlone x Nike Air Force 1 together, a shoe that debuted at ComplexCon last November and had a wider release in 2017. There are still many unreleased Vlone x Nike styles, and while the brand has not clarified whether they'll be scrapped, one suspects that's the case given the controversy.
