Dominance in sneaker culture is all about exclusivity. The reigning king of rare kicks is none other than Dominic “The Shoe Surgeon” Ciambrone, who’s built a career out of making one-of-a-kind footwear for diehard sneakerheads and brands alike. After collaborating with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey last year to create a limited-edition low top inspired by their barrel-aging process, the sneaker whisperer is back with a crop of new kicks in partnership with the whiskey maker.
Following a trip to the Jack Daniel distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee earlier this year, Ciambrone found the inspiration to design seven new sneakers. Dubbed the Cave Spring, Grain, Distilled, Barrel, Charcoal, Honey, and Bottle, each prototype is a direct callback to Jack Daniel’s unique distillation process.
The collection was unveiled exclusively at ComplexCon Chicago, where attendees were not only the first to see the shoes up close and personal but also vote on which one should be put into production for an extremely limited run. Starting Tuesday, September 17th, the general public will be able to chime in via an exclusive sweepstakes launching on Complex.com. All you’ll have to do is rank the shoes in order of your favorite and then enter for a chance to win a pair of the design that gets the most votes.
