Nike has decided to celebrate Fourth of July with a special colorway of the Air Max 1 this year.

The pair acts as a sequel of sorts to the "USA" Air Max 1 released back in 2003. For the 2019 release, Nike has applied a few distinct differences. The main switch is that the colors on the upper have been inverted. The white mesh and grey suede upper is now accented by a red suede mudguard and liner, and navy blue Swoosh.

A new logo badge has been added to the tongue that features Nike Air branding surrounded by 13 stars. The final difference is the use of the 13-star Betsy Ross flag on the heel, as opposed to the current American flag seen on its predecessor. Three sets of laces will also be included to allow for some personal customization.

Looks for this patriotic pair to hit Nike SNKRS and other select retailers just in time for Independence Day on Monday, July 1 for $140. Check out official images below.
