ASICS continue their strong 2019 release streak with their latest take on the GELSAGA in collaboration with Yu Nagaba.
While we're only a quarter of the way into the year, ASICS has certainly started off strong - reviving the GELSAGA Zebra, channeling bold retro vibes with the Gel-Kayano 5 Midnight Pack, and offering sophisticated styling with the GEL-Quantum 360 in collaboration with Harmony - and things aren't over just yet.
The latest offering delivers the GELSAGA alongside three apparel items and a cap in collaboration with Yu Nagaba. Created in celebration of the one-year anniversary of the opening of the ASICSTIGER Shibuya store. Designed and developed conceptually, the collaboration tells the story of a boy's love for his girlfriend, with the artwork featuring throughout created as the boy’s photographs of his girlfriend taken on the streets of Shibuya and Shinjuku.
Nagaba’s Illustrations feature heavily throughout the collection, sitting against the heel counter, outsole, and sockliner of the natural birch-coloured GELSAGA.
