Puma just got a lot lighter than its Ignite running shoes, as it's chosen to sell off Swedish sneaker brand Tretorn, Footwear Newsreports.
Tretorn — a brand known for its tennis footwear, including the Nylite, became a menswear staple — is now going to be owned by the Authentic Brands Group, who also owns Tapout. That's quite a change of scenery.
“Tretorn holds a unique place in the minds and hearts of consumers worldwide — from performance to athleisure to style. Tretorn has made a statement on and off tennis courts for decades," ABG Chairman and CEO Jamie Salter said.
The terms of the deal have not been announced at the time of publication.
