Houston, we have a problem (if you're matched up against one of these guys for the NBA All-Star Game, that is). The mission control center in Texas is the inspiration behind Nike Basketball's special colorways for LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant. Nike takes things to an extraterrestrial level, with each model inspired by different fictional planets.

The LeBron X hails from Nike Space Project planet NSP-LJ6. Rumor has it that the volcanic surface inside of the planet is responsible for LeBron's dominant play style. The sneaker features the same technological features as the other X styles, including visible full-length Zoom Air cushioning and a Flywire/Hyperfuse upper.

Kobe's NSP-KB24 planet gave Bryant his ice-cold abilities, and here it's represented in the Kobe System 8, featuring a Zoom Air midsole insert and Engineered Mesh upper.

Finally, Durant's NSP-KD35 planet seems to be made of solid, liquid, and gas simultaneously, which allows Durant to adapt to any situation on the hardwood. The combination Zoom Air and Max Air cushioning keep things comfortable, while the Hyperfuse upper offers breathability.

This special space-inspired collection will also feature Hyper Elite Galaxy shorts and three t-shirts for each of the selected ballers. The sneakers will be available from Nike and select retail stores on February 15.
