As fans eagerly await the return of Season 3 of The Mandalorian, creator Jon Favreau revealed he has already completed work on the fourth.
âSeason 4, yeah, Iâve written it already,â Favreau told Franceâs BFM TV, as noted by Variety. The Lion King director said he penned the scripts during post-production on the upcoming season because he wanted to figure out a roadmap to the conclusion of The Mandalorian, while also finding ways to incorporate the larger Star Wars universe.Â
âWe have to know where weâre going to tell a fully formed story,â Favreau explained. âSo we had mapped it out, Dave [Filoni] and I, and slowly you start to write each episode. So I was writing it during post-production. Because all of it has to feel like a continuation and one full story.â
âAnd then [Daveâs] doing Ahsoka, which Iâm producing with him. But heâs the writer and showrunner on that,â he continued. âSo to understand whatâs happening on other showsâor even Skeleton Crewâ[that] all take place within the same Star Wars time period. Thereâs a lot more things that weâve got to keep in mind and also stuff that weâve built up to from previous seasons of The Mandalorian as well.âÂ
We got a glimpse into the interconnected nature of the Star Wars properties with The Book of Boba Fett, where Mando and Grogu not only appeared, but laid the groundwork for Season 3.
Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson recently shared on Today with Hoda & Jenna that her seriesâabout the fan favorite first seen in Clone Wars and Rebels animated showsâis âprobably going to come out in the fall.â
Pedro Pascal recently discussed the difficulties heâs encountered wearing the âhead-to-toeâ weighted glove that is the Mandalorian suit in an interview with Empire.
âItâs ironic that you canât see any facial expression because it puts you in the world so completely, and instantly makes the character feel realâbut you canât see shit!â the Last of Us star admitted.
Season 3 of The Mandalorian will debut on Disney+ on March 1.
