Attack On Titan is pretty much the biggest anime to come out of Japan since the Toonami-golden era of the mid-2000s. It’s about emotional teenagers in a dystopian alternate past fighting naked man-eating giants whilst swinging about like Batman, and it’s pretty sick, yo.
It’s been a massive success both in Japan and the West, but it still hasn’t really had a proper videogame. There were some ‘visual novels’ in Japan, and a 3DS game, but now it’s getting a proper Playstation 4 adaptation (also coming to PS3 and PS Vita). The 3D Maneuver Gear should make for an incredible, unique gameplay mechanic, if they get it right, and the anime has a really rich world to play in. This new trailer, released ahead of this week’s Ahead of Tokyo Game Show, gives us the first look at the game in action. It’s not much to go on, but from what we do see, it looks like they might have nailed it.
