Longtime couple Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Lauren Hashian were married this weekend in Hawaii.

Johnson announced the marriage via Instagram early Monday, sharing photographic captures of the ceremony with a "Pōmaikaʻi (blessed)" caption. Within hours, Johnson's post had amassed more than five million likes.

Last summer, Johnson spoke with Entertainment Tonight on his relationship with Hashian, with whom he has two children. As the Hobbs & Shaw star explained, he's long had a habit of referring to the successful singer and songwriter as his wife, even to the point of confusing friends.

"I just refer to her as my wife all the time," Johnson said at the time. "So a lot of people are like, 'Oh, did you get married?'' I'm like, 'No. Easy. Don't rush big daddy.'"

The wedding follows on the heels of Johnson's expected success with the aforementioned Fast & Furious spinoff, which opened with more than 60 million in domestic box office dollars and is currently resting on nearly $440 million worldwide.

Johnson was also among those who joined protests earlier this month against the construction of a new telescope on Mauna Kea. By Johnson's own explanation, the protests aren't aimed at halting science or related progress but instead mark a unified plea for things to be done "the right way."
