Amid trolls' baseless accusations of a connection to the Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell cases, Chrissy Teigen says she deleted 60,000 tweets because she's "worried" for her family.
In a series of candid messages in recent days, Teigen has lamented the ongoing presence of such people in the replies to her tweets and elsewhere. In response to a tweet from someone entertaining the "flight logs" conspiracy theory that attempts to place Teigen and other celebrities as being involved with Epstein and Maxwell, Teigen corrected the count of deleted tweets and noted the admitted futility of trying to argue with this corner of the internet.
"I actually deleted 60,000 tweets because I cannot fucking STAND you idiots anymore and I'm worried for my family," she said on Tuesday. "Finding me talking about [the show Toddlers & Tiaras] in 2013 and thinking you're some sort of fucking operative."
Elsewhere, Teigen pointed out that many making these accusations were actually more concerned with some sort of Trump-related revenge and urged Twitter to do more about "actually scary" levels of harassment. She also thanked reporter Yashar Ali for his assistance during the barrage.
At one point, Summer Walker was among those amplifying the conspiracy theories. Previously, Walker was criticized for sharing a misleadingly presented video that promoted a xenophobic take on COVID-19.
