It’s hard not to feel like we’re currently experiencing a tidal wave of beloved series coming to their respective ends. Among them is the relentlessly brilliant Barry, starring and co-created by Bill Hader.

Indeed, we are now mere weeks away from experiencing the premiere of the acclaimed HBO series’ fourth and final season. To further signal this monumental occasion, the network has shared the most in-depth look yet at what to expect in the series’ final run, which promises to dig deep into the fallout of the events of Season 3.

Expect no full-blown spoilers in this article, of course, but it’s fair to say that the new trailer is itself a bit of a spoiler—so proceed with caution if you aren’t totally and enthusiastically caught up on all things Barry.

“I’m a good person,” we hear the title character, played by Hader, saying in the new trailer. “That is who I am.”

Moments later, Henry Winkler’s character—Gene Cousineau—understandably posits a different take on the path Barry Berkman has taken.

“Barry, you’re irredeemable,” he says.

Barry returns one last time on April 16 via HBO and HBO Max. See the new trailer up top. As Winkler himself recently confirmed, we can actually expect two new episodes on premiere night.

Shortly after the Season 3 premiere last April, Anthony Carrigan (who plays the lovable NoHo Hank on the series) spoke with Karla Rodriguez for Complex about bringing such a cherished character to the screen. Read the full interview here.
