Ahead of the wide release of Netflix's Al Pacino-starring new Martin Scorsese film The Irishman, Amazon Prime has shared a trailer for Hunters, a Pacino-starring new drama series.

Hunters, created by David Weil and inspired by true events, is produced by Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw Productions and Sonar Entertainment. The story centers on a band of Nazi hunters in 1977, NYC who learn that hundreds of escaped Nazis are residing in the U.S. As the official synopsis promises, this knowledge inspires the group to begin "a bloody quest for revenge and justice" that inadvertently uncovers a larger conspiracy.

Also on the upcoming Monkeypaw slate of releases is next year's Nia DaCosta-directed Candyman revival, Henry Selick's Wendell and Wild, and the Bad Robot-assisted HBO series Lovecraft Country. The latter is a horror drama series starring Jonathan Majors, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Wunmi Mosaku, Aunjanue Ellis, Michael K. Williams, and more. Courtney B. Vance also appears in a recurring capacity.

Hunters, meanwhile, marks Pacino's first foray into television since taking on the role of Joe Paterno in HBO's 2018 film Paterno.
