Is HBO’s Succession about to add a fleet of new trophies to its arsenal of acclaim?

That seems likely for Little Lord Fuckleroy and company following Tuesday’s unveiling of the 2022 Emmy nominations.

Hosting the nominations announcement special, seen in full above, were Curb Your Enthusiasm’s JB Smoove and Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Melissa Fumero, who were joined by Television Academy chairman and CEO Frank Scherma.

Below, see a list of major category nominees. Succession leads the pack with 25 total nominations, followed by Ted Lasso and The White Lotus with 20 each. Other series scoring multiple nods include Hacks (17), Only Murders in the Building (17), and Euphoria (16). The Ye documentary jeen-yuhs, Dave Chappelle’s The Closer, and the late Chadwick Boseman’s What If…? voice performance also received nominations this year.
