In addition to becoming the 11th film in history to earn over $1 billion worldwide, The Dark Knight Rises has just set another record - it's now the second film ever to earn more than $100 million on IMAX. According to Deadline, the film played on 557 IMAX screens total, earning $65.1 million domestically and $37.3 million internationally.
The only other film to ever pass the $100 million mark on IMAX was Avatar in 2009.
