intro
Yesterday morning former FBI director Louis Freeh released his findings from a eight-month investigation into the Penn State child molestation scandal. The Freeh Report revealed that former coach Joe Paterno and the administration knew of Jerry Sandusky's behavior with children even earlier than previously reported.
In addition to the Freeh's findings, ESPN analyst and former Penn State player Matt Millen continued to defend Paterno and the program on air. Twitter was abuzz with opinions yesterday with the news. While the tone was decidedly anti-Penn State, some were in agreement with Millen and defended the program. We collected the best, wildest and craziest of the tweets. We also put in our two cents.
beans
@beansiej
With the shit he knew, there is no chance Paterno has been happy in a few decades.
Justin Gayo
@Yayo4Gayo
What's the best way to defend predatory adults? Employ misogyny! We would love to know who the three people were that favorite'd this tweet.
Darren Rovell
@darrenrovell
Let's be real here, they could never fit that much training about lying and denying the truth into one semester.
Michael Dunleavy
@MaxxFisher
There are thousands of Penn State supporters nodding their heads right now reading this and confused about the angry looks coming from people around them.
Matt Martinie
@MattMartinie
Matt also thinks George Bush won Florida in 2000. #screwthosefacts
Mr. Wilson
@ApexToApex
If there is one issue that we could agree on with North Korea, this is probably it.
Kevin
@Mikes2ndson
People make mistakes like forgetting to buy milk and losing their glasses. Monsters mess with kids.

@dukefann30
Oh.
Heather Whyte
@OhOhHeatherrr
The FBI really should have delayed this little report until her royal highness is feeling better.
Jason Jordan
@JayJayESPN
Penn State sure has gotten some "Headlines" out of this. Apparently there is such a thing as bad publicity.
Tyler Gamble
@T_Gamble16
If he would just switch that "to" into a "for," then Tyler would sound like a rational person.
DJ Gallo
@DJGalloESPN
C'mon, Gallo, don't you know what makes the world $pin? If ain't about money, then the NCAA gives zero fucks.
Cindy Boren
@CindyBoren
Boren really ethered Millen when she tweeted later "And, other than Watergate, Nixon was a great president."
CJB
@TheBeach13
As if this wasn't enough to prove how classy CJB is, he went on to tweet about how he needed "some bombay and minute made."
Peyton's Head
@PeytonsHead
Seems about right, but it looks like Nike won't be making it after they removed Paterno's name from its Child Development Center.
Michael Rosenberg
@Rosenberg_Mike
Or they could let an angry mob of people take care of it. Either way works.
Aaron Nagler
@Aaron_Nagler
And every current student. And every prospective student. And every alumnus...
Spyro, Fool
@philpoling
With a name like Spyro, Fool, there was no chance of this being a productive tweet.
Garrett Searight
@gsearight
Is it spelled Searight? Or See-right-only? Or Penn State groupie? We've got our money on the last one.
Karisa Maxwell
@KarisaMaxwell
Really? You didn't think he should have drafted 32,847 receivers in the first round when he ran the Lions?
