Avengers: Age of Ultron is one of the biggest movies of the year, and it's already taken in over $84 million on its first day. The first Avengers set the all-time domestic opening record on this weekend three years ago; it hit $204 million by Sunday. It also ended up being one of the highest-grossing movies of all time, behind only Titanic and Avatar.
Age of Ultron is already joining the ranks of all time blockbusters: it's also the second-highest single-day opening in history, after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two. This sequel could go on to beat the Avengers' 2012 opening, which brought in $80 million in its first day. Experts are projecting Age of Ultron will hit around $210 million at the end of the weekend.
