Grimes Explains Deleted Tweet About Woman Who Had Twins With Elon Musk

She also explained her desire to keep her children away from the public eye.

Grimes has apologized for deleting a tweet aimed at Shivon Zilis, who had twins with Elon Musk in 2021, for having her blocked on social media.

In a lengthy Twitter post, Grimes clarified the situation and explained that she and Zilis are on speaking terms again and are both interested in their kids growing up together.

"I spoke with Shivon at length finally, which was long overdue," Grimes wrote. "This wasn't her fault, plz don't be angry at her! We respect each other a lot and we're excited to become friends and have the kids grow up together."

Grimes also apologized for her reply to Walter Isaacson.

"I truly apologize for responding to Walter like that. As u can imagine, that was a very gut level reaction to a thing that has been very hard for me. Communication about the twins wasn't handled super well in the past, but I now totally understand what happened and totally forgive the situation."

The Canadian singer ended her tweet by expressing her love for her newborn child, Techno Mechanicus and explained that her current priority is to keep her kids away from the public eye.
