U Bum: The Best and Most Savage Celebrity Clapbacks at Trump

From LeBron James to CNN, the clapbacks during the Donald's first year were fast, furious and ruthless.

If the past year was MySpace, the featured song on America's page would be "Fuck Donald Trump" by YG and Nipsey Hussle. Since his inauguration one year ago, Trump has managed to offend more people than he's inspired. Tbh, his general election remains a mystery, but that's neither here nor there.

We're stuck with him—pending an impeachment, anyway—which means all we have is our wit, resolve and each other to get us through this very, very, long term. Thankfully, the famous among us have no problem telling it like it is. As such, celebrities have been clapping the fuck back at the man who's leading our country right into a shithole.

We have more than 150 weeks left to go with this clown, so let's look back on the best and most savage celebrity clapbacks of President Dotard's first 52 weeks in office.

LeBron James

LeBron James had, hands down, one of the best and most succinct clapbacks to Donald Trump's idiocy. In a tweet directed toward LeBron's athletic archenemy, Steph Curry, Trump rescinded his White House invitation to the NBA Champion, who straight-up said he wasn't going in the first place.

Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team.Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!

Salty, much? In response to Trump's public take-backsie, LeBron came to Curry's defense.

U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain't going! So therefore ain't no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!

#UBum shirts for everybody! No, seriously.

J.K. Rowling

You know it's bad when a non-U.S. citizen has to step into the conversation about the ineptitude of our Commander-in-Chief. And folks, let me tell you: J.K. Rowling does not get down with Trump in any form or fashion.

If a player wants the privilege of making millions of dollars in the NFL,or other leagues, he or she should not be allowed to disrespect....
'Privilege.' Some people don't get given millions by Daddy, Donnie. They actually earn it. https://t.co/rmKataLLQX

In one of her best observations, though, she just called it like she saw it:

Donald Trump says: "No politician in history… has been treated worse or more unfairly" https://t.co/GbCqueTLV9 pic.twitter.com/K80FnX7Sqx
A narcissist's nightmare: the biggest stage in the world and he's never felt smaller. https://t.co/pYrlE9gn0r

Jemele Hill

While it's not technically a clapback, we'd be remiss to not include the queen of setting shit off, Jemele Hill, in this post. Last year, in conversation with some questionable folks on Twitter, Hill (correctly) called Trump a white supremacist.

Trump is the most ignorant, offensive president of my lifetime. His rise is a direct result of white supremacy. Period.
The height of white privilege is being able to ✌🏾ignore✌🏾his white supremacy, because it's of no threat to you. Well, it's a threat to me.
Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists.

Unfortunately, Hill was suspended, but she's still working for the big bosses over at ESPN today. She has to be more careful of how she talks about him these days, but the tweets, as you can see, are still up. Sometimes, this world is fair.

I had to include CNN here, simply because they've been the biggest target of Trump. Dude has gone as far as retweeting an edited GIF of himself laying the smack down on them—literally.

In one of dozens of jabs at the company, Trump attempted to shit on their representation skills.

.@FoxNews is MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly. The outside world does not see the truth from them!

It didn't take long for CNN to come through with that Dikembe Mutumbo "no, no, no" on Trump.

It's not CNN's job to represent the U.S to the world. That's yours. Our job is to report the news. #FactsFirst 🍎

Hip-hop is a brotherhood, especially among the rappers who have been around for a minute. Don't believe me? Look no further than the relationship between Snoop Dogg and T.I., the latter of which defended the former after the president laid an egg on Twitter after finding out Snoop featured a Trump impersonator in a music video who was shot in jest.

Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!

Chrissy Teigen

It's no secret that model Chrissy Teigen is no fan of Trump. She might even be the biggest celebrity Trump detractor on Twitter. She's been cutting him down for years, so she's a pro at this by now.

I literally pose half naked for a living and u are still the biggest attention whore I know RT @realDonaldTrump Story will be released today
@realdonaldtrump hey! been a while. I fucking hate you.

But back to Trump's first year. Teigen has been keeping it all the way live, as she is wont to do.

We must keep "evil" out of our country!
what time should we call your Uber?
every day, twice a day, at 11:11, I wish for your impeachment.
@realDonaldTrump you are so insane that I pray every day I am a sim being played by aliens

Teigen opposes Trump so damn much, in fact, that she's been blocked by the sensitive man baby, after years of going ham at him.

After 9 years of hating Donald J Trump, telling him "lol no one likes you" was the straw pic.twitter.com/MhZ6bXT1Dp

*sigh* When I grow up, I want to be blocked by the president.
