If you grew up watching 'Sabrina, the Teenage Witch,' you better curb your nostalgia for a bit. This new Netflix series is a whole other kind of freaky.

Fans of the TGIF series Sabrina, the Teenage Witch remember a bubbly Sabrina practicing her witchcraft with a lot of laughs and bright lights. As someone who's always looking out for your best interests, let's make this clear: Netflix's upcoming Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series ain't that old Sabrina, trust.

Based on the graphic novel of the same name, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina finds us meeting Sabrina Spellman (portrayed by Mad Men alum Kiernan Shipka) on the cusp of her 16th birthday, one that's important to all witches and warlocks. Sabrina, the half-witch, half-mortal teenager might have been looking towards this particular birthday for her whole life, but as it looms, her interests take a turn. If you love Riverdale, take note: this Netflix series comes from the same executive producers, and takes place in the same universe as Riverdale (although who knows if we'll see the likes of KJ Apa or Camila Mendes in this series). That makes sense when you realize that Sabrina Spellman is an Archie Comics character.

While the 62-second teaser doesn't reveal much in the way of story, it does give you the show's tone. Outside of the creepy AF rendition of "Happy Birthday," you're seeing books with bone pens, flashes of blood (or something?) on hands, creepy women in woods and with distorted faces, weird Baphomet-looking creatures walking around, and high school. It's enough to have me making sure to watch this show with the light on.

Check out the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina teaser up above, and be sure to mark your calendars for October 26, when the full first season hits Netflix.
