Sad news, Star Wars fam. Erik Bauersfeld, who voiced Admiral Ackbar, has died at the age of 93. The actor passed away from natural causes in his California home on Sunday morning, PEOPLEreports.

He is best known for playing the Rebel Alliance leader in Return of the Jedi, and for saying three recognizable words: "It’s a trap!" The phrase has gone on to become an internet meme and has even popped up on shows like The Big Bang Theory.

Bauersfeld also voiced Jabba the Hut’s evil right-hand man Bib Fortuna in Return of the Jedi and reprised his Ackbar role for 2015’s The Force Awakens. Additional screen credits include voices for 2001's A.I. Artificial Intelligence and last year’s gothic romance Crimson Peak.

"Erik will be deeply missed by his family here at Coolwaters and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends," read a statement by his management office, Coolwaters Productions.

Rest in peace, friend.
