Ever the voice of reason, Donald Trump has finally weighed in on the Great Starbucks Debate. In case you missed it, many Christians are up in arms because the popular coffee company is rolling out red Solo cups for the holidays—sans snowflakes or Christmas trees. Basically, they’re accusing the secular business of being too politically correct after dumping their Christmas-themed cups of previous years.
In retaliation, some say they plan to boycott while others have vowed to “trick” the company by claiming their name is “Merry Christmas” so employees are forced to write that phrase on the cup. Donald Trump, however, is a little uncertain. During a rally in Springfield, Illinois on Monday, the outspoken Republican shared his thoughts on the controversy.
"I have one of the most successful Starbucks, in Trump Tower,” he told supporters, according to BuzzFeed. “Maybe we should boycott Starbucks? I don't know. Seriously, I don't care. That's the end of that lease, but who cares?" He went on to say that were he to become president, everybody would be saying "Merry Christmas."
