One of the great Hollywood traditions is still Alfred Hitchcock’s brief cameo in the background of almost all of his movies. Sometimes he would play an inconspicuous passerby, and other times he was much more noticeable in the frame and even interacted with the stars. Either way, it has become a great sideshow over the years for film fans to try and spot each one.
And in honor of his birthday today, Indie Wire has posted a video from YouTube of every cameo the man has ever done. From 1927’s The Lodger to 1976’s Family Plot, all of Hitchcock’s appearances are here in this 10-minute compilation.
