NASA's Chief Scientist Says We're Super Close to Finding Aliens

One small step for man, one giant leap closer to everyone having their own E.T.

NASA big dog, Ellen Stofan, said in a panel yesterday on NASA finding aliens (it had a longer, more boring title) that "we're going to have strong indications of life beyond Earth within a decade", not just that, but she thinks "we're going to have definitive evidence within 20 to 30 years."

"We know where to look. We know how to look... In most cases we have the technology, and we're on a path to implementing it. And so I think we're definitely on the road." What road you ask? The road to the stars (with aliens).

The jury's out. Will finding aliens be incredible? Will they share their awesome technology? Will they take us over and make us slaves? Logic says no. Hollywood says yes.

Maybe this is why the X-files is returning? The truth is out there...
