The first official trailer for season two of the Spectrum Original L.A.'s Finest has arrived, along with the announcement of a June 8 premiere date. The Bad Boys spinoff stars Gabriel Union as previously introduced Bad Boys character Syd Burnett—Martin Lawrence's sister in the movie— and Jessica Alba as her new LAPD partner Nancy McKenna.
L.A.'s Finest is Spectrum's first-ever major series and judging by the explosive trailer, season two will be just as action-packed as its predecessor. Union and Alba both took to Instagram to share their excitement for the series' return.
"Get ready for that summer HEAT. @lasfinesttv is coming back for ya on spectrum originals June 8th!" Union wrote in the caption of her post.
L.A.'s Finest looks to capitalize on the success from Bad Boys for Life, which did huge numbers at the box office when it was released earlier this year. Unfortunately for Union, she's yet to see the latest installment in the beloved franchise. "No, I actually didn’t get to," she told Entertainment Weekly about missing the film. "They were kind enough to invite us to the premiere but we were working and weren’t able to make it. But I was sort of keeping track on social media and seeing if anyone missed Syd."
Season 2 of L.A.'s Finest kicks off with three new episodes on June 8, followed by a new episode airing weekly every Monday via Spectrum On Demand. You can watch the official trailer up top.
