Tiffany Haddish didn't have the greatest start to the New Year after her celebratory performance in Miami.

Haddish started off the evening looking forward to a sold-out gig at the James L. Knight center on arguably the most festive night of the year. However, during Haddish's set, the venue started to empty when the comedian forgot and ultimately bombed her routine. The 39-year-old centered the show around her family, but when the jokes didn't land, the audience began to walk out, and Haddish took notice.

In a video obtained by TMZ, the comedian addressed her sub-par performance while still on stage. "This is weird for me. Now, this is going to be on TMZ or whatever," she said to the audience. During her routine, Haddish told jokes about her mom getting out of a mental institution and her family asking her for money, however once the venue had nearly emptied, she started to switch gears. Haddish told the remaining fans to move up to the front and ultimately cut her set short when she cracked open a bottle of Ciroc and began drinking with the audience.

The comedian took to Twitter to address the incident, explaining to her fans, "I wish it was better Miami. I prayed on it and I have a strong feeling this will never happened [sic] again."

Haddish was recently shaded by comedian Katt Williams for her skill-set, which makes her New Year's Eve performance seem somewhat forecasted. While appearing on Frank and Wanda In the Morning, Williams went in on Haddish, claiming she doesn't write her own material and has yet to prove herself as a real comedian. “[Haddish has] been doing comedian since she was 16. You can’t tell me your favorite Tiffany Haddish joke. Why? Because she ain’t done a tour yet. She ain’t done a special. She has not proven the ability to tell jokes, back to back for an hour,” he told the radio hosts. Kevin Hart promptly came to Tiffany's defense during an appearance on the Breakfast Club, although his comments earned him some side shade from Leslie Jones.

Haddish amicably responded to Williams on Twitter, writing, "I just want to shower you with REAL Love cause you need it, and I love you."
