In case you missed it, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick got paid yesterday. And we're not speaking in terms of hundreds and thousands of dollars here, we're saying that he got a record-setting $61M in guaranteed money yesterday. So, yeah, Kaep had a pretty good hump day.

However, that wasn't the only good news for the Bay Area hero. Last night, EA Sports dropped their first screenshot for their forthcoming Madden 15 title, and the star of the photo was none other than Kaepernick himself.

In the virtual world, Kaepernick has never looked better. The amount of detail that EA has put into its star franchise is stunning. For comparison's sake, Good Game Bro released a side-by-side featuring the graphics from Madden 25 versus Madden 15. Above is the image from Madden 15. Below is a screenshot of Kaepernick from Madden 25.

Wow. It's an understatement to say that the difference between these two is significant. The Madden 25 image doesn't even give Kaepernick tattoos. The newer one basically has an entire spider-web of ink on his bicep.

Is this what we can come to expect from all of EA Sports' next-gen titles? We can only hope.

UPDATE:

EA Sports has released two new screenshots for the forthcoming Madden 15, now featuring Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.

We're still awaiting another new gameplay trailer, and until then, these images will have to suffice. But they look good though. Pretty...pretty...pretty good.
