Good news/bad news. First, the good.
The Last of Us Part II's indefinite delay has become, well, definite, as an announcement was made on Monday that the highly anticipated sequel will be released on June 19. As you may have been aware, it was originally set to come out on May 29, but that got fucked up (along with everything else) earlier this month due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The three extra weeks is not that long, especially since the game was already pushed back more than three months for further development last October. And when you consider that The Last of Us game came out nearly seven years ago, then the extra wait's really not that long.
If you've gamed for more than a year or two, you've seen worse.
Monday's announcement, which was made by Sony Interactive Entertainment's Head of Worldwide Studios, Hermen Hulst, also contained info about the release of the upcoming action-adventure game Ghost of Tsushima. That's coming out roughly a month after Last of Us Part II, on July 17.
"Amidst some disruptions to our working styles, we wanted to provide an update to PlayStation gamers who are eager to learn when our next exclusive titles will arrive to PlayStation 4," that announcement said. "As we begin to see an ease in the global distribution environment, I am pleased to confirm that The Last of Us Part II will arrive on June 19. And Ghost of Tsushima will follow on July 17."

Okay, now for the bad. As it turns out, additional gameplay footage of The Last of Us Part II has been leaked onto the internet by an anonymous employee at Naughty Dog, the developer behind The Last of Us. This footage reveals major story spoilers for the impending title. As Games Radar said, this footage includes "cutscenes, level lists, and what appears to be the full plot." So, you may want to stop Googling it now that you have a firm release date.
The studio sent out a message acknowledging the leak(s) and expressing disappointment that they're out there now. They also asked that, if the plot's been spoiled for you, that you at least not spoil it for others:
