context: she apparently accidentally uploaded the unedited footage to her channel & luckily someone caught it before she deleted it. the woman uses this dog for clicks and straight up beats it behind the scenes pic.twitter.com/kn3EbxIbdY

people making excuses for this like “haha as if you’ve never lost your temper!” are concerning. you dont punch, grab, slap, slam to the ground and SPIT on your pet out of frustration. what would spitting on a dog do???

Once these videos hit the internet, Houts was hit with a wave of backlash from viewers who claimed she abuses her dog.

DOGS DESERVE RESPECT. IF YOU CAN'T TREAT DOGS WITH KINDNESS AND INSTEAD HIT THEM, DON'T GET ONE.

Although she doesn't explain how this video was uploaded, Houts did issue an apology to those offended by her behavior as well as deny any animal cruelty allegations.

"I want to clarify that I am not a dog abuser or animal abuser in any way shape or form," Houts wrote. "Friends and family who have spent time with Sphinx and me know that we have a trusting, loving relationship."

According to TMZ, LAPD's Animal Cruelty unit is investigating the incident.
