"Temple Run 2" Breaks New Game Download Record in Thirteen Days

What's an Angry Bird?

None

Mobile game developer, Imangi Studios, recently hit a huge milestone with its latest release, Temple Run 2.

In less than two weeks the follow-up to the super popular Temple Run game was downloaded 50 million times.

The record was previously held by Rovio Entertainment's Angry Birds, which took 35 days to get to 50 million downloads. To be fair, Temple Run 2 is the sequel to previous hit and is free, while Angry Birds was a new property that sold for $0.99. Despite that, it still managed to break the 100 million mark and was crowned the Most Popular Paid App for the iPhone and iPad in 2012.
