John Oliver wins pretty much every topic he covers on Last Week Tonight. Sure, you could argue that he does so only because he has a week to think about, react, and articulate his 15 minute-long segments on a subject of his choosing, but ask yourself: does it really matter?
Oliver focused his hilariously insightful commentary this week on Scotland’s upcoming vote to secede from the United Kingdom and become an independent nation. Yes, just like William Wallace once dreamed, only with a lot less blue facepaint.
Poor England, losing yet another country. Maybe they should be a bit nicer to Scotland, rather than doing passive-aggressive things like banning the kilt.
