It seems like Pete Davidson’s dating life is always under a microscope.

Elle reports that there are some who are criticizing his most recent romance with Cindy Crawford’s 18-year-old daughter, Kaia Gerber. And according to Page Six, Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, aren’t fully supporting it either: “I think they’re just hoping this could all fizzle out,” a source close to the family said. “[Kaia’s] traveling and working constantly—how serious can [she and Davidson] get?”

Davidson touched on the relationship during Saturday Night Live’s most recent "Weekend Update."

When Colin Jost asked Davidson if he was dating, Davidson replied, “Yeah, and it’s not fair, Colin. You get to date a famous woman and everyone's delighted, but when I do it, the world wants to punch me in the throat,” a possible reference to Jost’s engagement to Scarlett Johansson. “What’d I do? If I’m your type of guy that your daughter or mother is into, then trust me, I’m the best-case scenario. There are a million guys who look like me, and I'm the only one who has a job. It's like me or Tyga," he joked.

Though Davidson didn't mention Gerber by name, a source told E! In November that “Kaia and Pete are definitely in a romantic relationship."

Davidson also alluded to going to rehab during the segment. When Jost asked Davidson what he’s doing for the holidays, Davidson said, “Oh, I’m going on a little vacation,” putting air quotes around vacation. When Jost asked why he did that, Davidson answered, “You know, the kind of vacation where like insurance pays for some of it, and they take your phone and shoelaces. And you have roommates but it still costs like a 100 grand.” Though Davidson didn't explicitly say he was going to rehab, his implication seemed clear to those who were watching.

If Pete Davidson is actually going to rehab, I salute the dude for talking about it in public. Maybe somebody else will feel a little less ashamed.

Why does 93% of the human population feel the need to claim Pete Davidson is lying about his mental illness? He’s constantly using his platform to bring awareness to mental health and normalize it. If you have a problem with someone helping people in need, then that’s on you

Y’all are praising Pete Davidson for opening up about going to rehab but every time Demi Lovato fucks up y’all call her a coke head and drag her for being ill pic.twitter.com/ovhCty1FFA

Pete Davidson being so open about his mental health/going to rehab this holiday season is really admirable especially considering how many people his age or younger have been dying from overdoses pic.twitter.com/svGwpOxvnO
