Not everyone is going to love the season finale of Game of Thrones, according to actor Iain Glen, who plays the character Ser Jorah Mormont.
“When I read it, I thought it was rather brilliant,” Glen told The Indian Express. “I am a bit of a fan of the series as well, and it satiated my expectation and hopes, I felt (it was the) conclusion… But we will just have to see. You know with something this big like Game of Thrones, you cannot please everyone.”
He added, “All I can say is that we will be doing what we have done before and the writers have written great episodes. They have had a great strike rate up to now and I am sure that will continue.”
George R. R. Martin—author of theA Song of Ice and Fire saga, from which GoT is adapted—has previously depicted the ending of his series as “bittersweet.” At least, he was referring to the saga’s final and seventh novel A Dream of Spring, which could have the same ending as the television show. However, we're not sure when we'll get that book, as Martin announced in February that the release date for the sixth book, Winds of Winter, was being pushed back.
Games of Thrones is gearing up for its final six episodes, which will air on HBO in 2019.
