Though SNL looks like all fun and games from the outside, on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Bill Hader and Jay Pharoah reassured us that it sometimes wasn’t all peaches and cream.

On Thursday, a caller phoned into Cohen’s show to ask Pharoah and Hader to reveal who was SNL’s “worst-behaved musical guest or host.”

The two immediately dished. “We both know, dawg,” Pharoah said. Hader unabashedly replied, “Yeah, it was Bieber.”

“He was in a bad place,” Hader said. “Maybe he’s in a better place. But back then ... it was rough.”

Hader mentioned that SNL guests are typically in good spirits while doing the show, but that Bieber looked “exhausted or at the end of a rope.”

Hader has divulged his frustrations with Bieber before. Hader did an interview with Howard Stern shortly after Bieber appeared on SNL as the host and musical guest in February 2013. Hader satirized Bieber’s entourage, saying that it included, “a guy holding a slice of pizza, a guy holding a Diet Coke.”

A year later, in 2014, Hader again mentioned his dislike of Bieber. “I really didn’t enjoy having Justin Bieber around,” Hader said in a recent edition of Live From New York: An Uncensored History Of Saturday Night Live. “He’s the only one who lived up to the reputation. I think that’s the only time I felt that way in eight years."
