Danai Gurira seems to have become a favorite among mega-buck franchises.
According to an exclusive Deadline report, The Walking Dead and Black Panther breakout star is in early stage talks to join the cast of Godzilla vs. Kong. The film will be directed by Adam Wingard, and will co-star Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) and Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2).
The project is expected to hit U.S. theaters May 22, 2020.
Sources also claim Gurira is eyeing a staring role in Paramount’s upcoming Star Trek film. S.J. Clarkson has signed on to helm the project, making her the first woman ever to direct a Star Trek flick. Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Chris Hemsworth are expected to reprise their roles in the upcoming installment.
Keep it locked as more information about the projects become available.
