Tiffany Haddish Confirms the Beyoncé Biter May Still Be on the Loose

“I didn’t confirm shit," Haddish told 'Glamour' magazine. "They thought I put her name out there, but I didn’t. I never said nothing. And Beyoncé didn’t say nothing."

What began as a seemingly innocuous GQ interview spiraled into 2018’s Watergate. It’s been months since Tiffany Haddishsparked the outrageous media frenzy known as #WhoBitBey. Though the comedian previously swore of the topic, and for all intents and purposes Beyoncénever addressed the incident, here we are...still talking about it!

The latest conversation takes place in the September issue of Glamour, which Haddish covers ahead of her upcoming film Night School. In the interview, writer Niela Orr asks the comedian about Sanaa Lathan—the No. 1 suspected Bey biter. Haddish clarifies once and for all that she never pointed her finger at the actress.

“I didn’t confirm shit. The reporter was like, ‘Sanaa Lathan?’ I’m, like, three drinks in, so of course I was about to laugh," Haddish said. "They thought I put her name out there, but I didn’t. I never said nothing. And Beyoncé didn’t say nothing. Let the person who [bit Beyoncé] bury themselves…. I ain’t trying to destroy this girl. I didn’t say shit about the girl.”

Last month, Haddish divulged to The Hollywood Reporter that Lathan’s family was upset with her over the controversy.

“I'm super good friends with her stepmom and her dad, and they were mad at me," Haddish explained. "They were like, 'Why would you do this to the family? You know, black actresses, you guys have to stick together, it's so hard for you guys to get work as it is, why would you try to ruin her career?' But I didn't try to ruin her career. I never said her name! I was just trying to say how Beyoncé kept me from goin' to jail that night. I coulda just shut my whole career down."

Honestly, it’s probably Lathan—even though she’s vehemently denied ever putting her teeth on Bey’s blessed face—but we’ll never know for sure. At this point, it feels like we’re running in circles, so can we finally let this story die?

Oh and btw, Night School hits theaters on Sept. 28, and also stars Kevin Hart
