A couple of days ago, a 19-year-old fan posted the most awkward video of her and Bohemian Rhapsodystar Rami Malek. In the video, Xan Black asks Malek to say hi to her friends, which Malek swiftly declines. "No, but we can take a picture, is that alright?" Malek replied.

Check out the video below.

The video quickly went viral as one of the most cringe-worthy celeb encounters in recent memory. "THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST EMBARRASSING THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO ME," Black’s post reads.

As the people do, the incident quickly became a meme:

director: aaand... ACTION! we're rolling!
rami malek: no but we can take a picture

Fan: *turns corner*

But Malek seems to be taking the reaction to the encounter in stride. He told E! Newsthat he actually found the whole thing pretty funny.

"I am who I am and people can interpret that how they want, but I love the fans, I wouldn't be here without my fans and I try to take as much time as possible," he said. "Sometimes, when you've been traveling around the earth a couple times, you try to just be protective of your time as a human being. And I'm finding it quite funny, and I think maybe I'll have some fun with it on Ellen tomorrow."

Bohemian Rhapsody hits theaters this weekend.
