Jersey Shore renewed

The Season 2 finale of Jersey Shore Family Vacationairs tonight, but those of you anxious for more content from your favorite greasy party-lovers can rejoice.

According to Deadline, MTV has ordered a third season of the reality series reboot, set to air in 2019. The decision coincides with the company's fifth quarter of ratings growth in the coveted 18-34 and 18-49 demos, which is reportedly its best mark in seven years. Back in 2011, the network enjoyed a similar ratings peak thanks to Jersey Shore’s original success.

Jersey Shore Family Vacation features the OG housemates Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio,” Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Angelina Pivarnick, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. The series is produced by the original creator SallyAnn Salsano.

To celebrate the end of season 2 and the news about the season 3 renewal, MTV dropped an hour-long yule log video live on its Jersey Shore Facebook and YouTube channels.

This past year, the crew has dealt with a variety of drama on and off the small screen. Back in September, JWoww filed for divorce, while Ronnie's toxic relationship has steadily made headlines all year. Life really does imitate art.
