Legends of the Hidden Temple

Legends of the Hidden Templefans, rejoice!

The classic game show, which ran on Nickelodeon from 1993 to 1995, is being revamped for adults. The show will appear on the new mobile-only streaming service Quibi in the upcoming year. Quibi has called their take on the show a "supersized, reimagined version" that will include "many of the favorite original elements of the show," like the Moat Crossing, the loved talking stone head Olmec, and the challenging Temple Run. No word on if the original host, Kirk Fogg, will appear.

"Bringing back Legends for Quibi is a dream come true,” executive producer Scott A. Stone told The Wrap a statement. “I have been so lucky to be part of this defining millennial show, and now there is a defining millennial platform to go with it. I couldn’t be more excited."

The Wrap reports that the revival series will be shot at an undisclosed jungle location, rather than Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, where the original series was filmed. The challenges this time around will be much larger in scale, which means the prizes will be as well.

Nickelodeon will executive produce the revival series alongside Stone & Company Entertainment. There's no set date of the return of the series, but Quibi is set to launch in April 2020.

Fans of the series expressed their excitement on Twitter:

There is rumor that the @Nickelodeon game show Legends of the Hidden Temple may be coming back, but for adults, and I have never in my life wanted anything more. pic.twitter.com/JjrTQKHB3D
