This week, Migos' own Offset announced that he'd signed a deal for two video game-centric shows for Caffeine, a streaming service that's making some interesting moves in the world of streamed content. The deal would give Offset two shows: the first, launching on Sunday, October 27, 2019, at 6 p.m. PDT, will feature Offset playing some of his favorite games (like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare) alongside taking suggestions from his fans on what newer games he should get into. The second is Bet with Set, will have celebrity guests battling Offset in an array of games.
Offset, who invested in FaZe Clan earlier this year, has been sharing his thoughts on the world of gaming, keeping it real regarding his feelings surrounding the hit Fortnite. Knowing his enthusiasm for the world of gaming, we got to briefly speak to Offset about his new deal with Caffeine, what he's playing right now, and how he'd fair in a game of Fortnite.
What's up with the shows you’re making with Caffeine?
The shows I'm making for Caffeine is going to be lit 'cause I will be streaming for the first time, going crazy. I'm going to be interacting one-on-one with my fans. Caffeine has updated a little bit of data and technology into streaming, so I'll be able to reply and it won't be a lag. It won't be slow; most times when you watch people who stream, sometimes it's a delay and it's a big problem for the fans that they do not like.
Who are some of the celebs you challenge in Bet with Set?
I'm going to have my brother Lil Yachty, Quavo. I'm going to just name two. I don't want to give all the information and all the juice, but we're going to be betting and it's not going to just be with money. You've got to see, we're going to have a lot of interactions and fire things if you lose the bet.
What’s the longest time you’ve spent nonstop gaming?
The longest I ever played was with Call of Duty. It was like 12 hours, almost 13 hours. I just was locked in.
We heard you’re a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fan. What are some of the other games you play?
I like the new Mortal Kombat, it's fire. I like Madden, I like the 2K, I'm on that. I got a player scan on 2K. I wish they would come back out with a boxing game because the boxing games used to be just too fire.
In the past, you’ve said that Fortnite was for kids. If someone were to challenge you in a match, could you still smoke them?
If someone wants to challenge me to a match, I still can smoke them, because I'm just that guy. Any challenge I get in front of me, I tackle it and I treat it like it's a rap, or I treat it like the best thing I got to do. So, of course I'm going to catch a body. I play Call of Duty, and from what I heard it's similar. It's the same thing as a shooting game. I know I'll go crazy.
