Disney revealed what categories its pushing for Avengers: Endgame going into Oscar season. Fans couldn't help but notice one glaring omission from the ranks that included Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Cinematography. Notably, Marvel's parent company isn't putting forth the case that Robert Downey Jr. deserves a nod for his final turn as Iron Man.

RDJ can largely be credited with starting the superhero boom on the strength of his first Iron Man performance. Given that, and the emotional goodbye he portrayed in his last attempt at the role, some fans are not happy that Disney won't back a "For Your Consideration" campaign.

RDJ wasn't the only one. Every single actor in the MCU was left out of their awards season push.

Fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment over the seeming snub, one that comes well before the Academy has a chance to disappoint fans. Check out some reactions below

Avengers: Endgame was released to theaters back in April. It went on to make $2.796 billion at the box office, making it the highest-grossing film of all time.
