It's been dope to see Lil Rel Howery move from strength to strength. After surprising audiences with his work on The Carmichael Show, he's gone from supporting roles in critically acclaimed shows like Insecure and films like Get Out to getting his own sitcom on Fox, Rel. With the dust on that series settled, Rel's back doing what got him here first: making people laugh. With Jerrod Carmichael on as director, HBO will be bringing Lil Rel's debut HBO stand-up special, Live in Crenshaw, to audiences on November 23.

From the unique set-up, which looks like Rel took over a high school gym, to the dancers being invited to turn up to Lil Rel's relatable take on the life of a parent and someone with growing celebrity, Live in Crenshaw looks like its both hilarious and on par with Rel's previous work.
