Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has been taken into police custody after he allegedly got violent with his girlfriend Jen Harley. As TMZ reports, Ortiz-Magro allegedly punched Harley, who is also the mother of his child, and chased her with a knife in the early hours of Friday morning. The incident took place at an Airbnb the couple had been renting in Los Angeles.

Police received multiple calls to report that Harley had run out of the house asking for help, and Ortiz-Magro allegedly followed her with both a knife and their 18-month-old daughter Ariana. He later returned to the house without the knife and locked himself inside. When police arrived at the scene he refused to come out, but they later broke down the door as it was feared Ariana might be in danger.

Ortiz-Magro allegedly resisted arrest, prompting the cops to taser him so he could be cuffed. He was then taken to the hospital to be checked out, while paramedics also checked out Harley and her daughter. Sources close to the situation have said Harley had visible marks on her face, but their daughter was unharmed. Ortiz-Magro had lost it after doing cocaine, and he has since been booked for kidnapping, TMZ reports.

“Officers responded to a battery in progress in the 7200 block of Woodrow Wilson Drive at around 2:40 a.m.,” LAPD’s public information officer said in a statement to Us. “Suspect and victim were involved in some kind of physical altercation. When officers [were] on location, the suspect was uncooperative. Officers had to use a taser so there was minor use of force that occurred.”

This isn't the first time this year that the couple has been in the news over domestic violence. Earlier this year, Ortiz-Magro reported an incident that took place in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve. Sources at the time claimed that he left a club with his face covered in blood after Harley allegedly threw an ashtray at him.
