The cast for the third installment of the Jurassic World series is rounding out with Netflix’s She’s Gotta Have It star DeWanda Wise joining for a leading role, Variety reports.

Wise will be featured alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who starred in the previous Jurassic World films. She will also be joining original Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill, each of whom fans will recognize from the classic ‘90s film.

Colin Trevorrow is returning to direct Jurassic World 3, and the legendary Steven Spielberg will executive produce.

Last year, the actress was set to appear for a role in Marvel’s Captain Marvel film alongside Brie Larson and Jude Law. However, she backed out of the supporting role due to scheduling conflicts with her Netflix series. Fans who have missed Wise’s acting can get excited to see her fight off dinosaurs.

Goldblum has been dropping hints about the film for some time now. "I don't want to pass on gossip like my character," he said back in 2018. "But it would be good news to me and to everyone, [to] millions and billions of people all over the world . . . all over the universe and cosmos when Ellie Sattler [Laura Dern] returns."

He’s not wrong about the popularity of the Jurassic characters. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom brought in some $150 million in June, which was reported to be Universal’s second-best domestic opening weekend ever at the time.
