Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are no longer married.

As reported by People, the couple have split after tying the knot last December.

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a rep tells People. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

The news comes shortly after fans noticed Miley wasn’t wearing her wedding ring in her latest Instagram post. However, she was adorned with necklaces and bracelets. She captioned it: “Mute me if you don’t want SPAMMED.”

Liam’s last post was a promotion for instant coffee. Neither have made public announcements about their break up yet, but it seems the separation is real. They have been in an on-again, off-again relationship since 2009. He proposed in 2012. They broke up, and then got back together again in 2015. In December of 2018, they officially got married.

Though unrelated, TMZ has pointed out that Miley and Brody Jenner's ex Kaitlynn Carter  – who are both single – are hanging out on Lake Como in Italy with some friends. Apparently, they were kissing.
