Gemma Whelan, who played Yara Greyjoy in Game of Thrones, recently revealed that she didn't waste more than six hours of her life and watch the eighth and final season of the series.

Yara was last seen on the show in the final episode "Iron Throne" as one of the lords of the Seven Kingdoms overseeing the trial of Tyrion Lannister. The Queen of the Iron Islands even gets into a brief exchange with Arya Stark after suggesting that the Unsullied decide the fate of Jon Snow for killing Daenerys. Lord Davos successfully diffuses the tension between the two following Arya's threat to kill Yara if she demands that Jon be killed again.

"I haven't watched the end yet, no," Whelan said, per Digital Spy. "I do know what happens. I came home and my husband was watching it and I saw the final bit but I haven't seen most of the series yet, because we didn't have internet in our house."

Whelan acknowledges that GoT was a "life-changing" moment in her acting career that has undoubtedly helped her resume. "It was such a fun thing to do," she said. "It's hard to quantify – having that on your CV definitely changes things, but in terms of actually that being a tangible thing in your life, it's hard to know. But of course, it really does help."

She has parlayed her role on Thrones into a spot on the HBO and BBC One series Gentleman Jack where she plays Marian Lister.
