Whether it was intentional or not, winter came earlier than expected for DirecTV Now users because the Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere was released on the streaming platform at least four hours before it was scheduled to air on HBO.

So this is season 8. I think @directvnow screwed up. But I get to watch @GameOfThrones 3 hours early. pic.twitter.com/j13hJL1its

People were able to provide some visual evidence, proving that DirecTV Now leaking the first episode was a real thing. If you don't even want to see a screenshot of the upcoming premiere, do not scroll down.

Funny story. I have DIRECTVNOW and they posted the first episode of season 8 of #GOT  on their on-demand section and @sarachavez09 and I were like 😳. It really was the real episode too. It has since been taken down, but that was a major screw up by DTN. pic.twitter.com/mMsVGzudrD

It appears DirecTV Now has already taken down the episode, but it was too late.

Now, it's time to keep an eye for any potential spoilers coming out of House DirecTV Now, who apparently just want to see the world burn.
