The trailer for the fourth installment of Avengers is finally out, and with it, the official title of the movie. Like it or not, Avengers 4 is called Avengers: Endgame. This may come as a surprise to many fans, but a couple people happened to guess the Infinity War follow-up's title months ago.
Back in September, director duo the Russo Brothers posted a photo of them on set with the message "Look hard..."
Fans quickly assumed it was a hint about the movie's title, long sought by fans and journalists, and started throwing out random names.
But a couple of them actually guessed correctly.
Many assumed the title would be Avengers: Annihilation, but soon after the real title was revealed, people realized they'd heard the phrase "endgame" somewhere before...
But contrary to popular belief, Doctor Strange wasn't the first Avenger to utter the phrase "endgame." Tony Stark called the final battle in Avengers: Age of Ultron the "endgame" back in 2015.
Aside from putting debates about the movie's title to bed, the new trailer put everyone in their feelings. Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26, 2019, a week earlier than previously announced.
