Steve Carell has been aging pretty well. And if you have yet to notice, just take a look at the actor’s October 2018 spread in Esquire. The man is a silver fox.

However, Carell himself is still surprised that he's at all considered a sex icon. But his Beautiful Boy co-star Timothée Chalamet likes to remind him.

“I’m always trying to tell him, he’s like an icon,” Chalamet told Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, around the 7:30 mark in the video above. “He said he visited a college campus with his kid. He was like, ‘I was surprised that people were running up to me.’ It’s like, ‘Steve, you’re like a sex icon.’”

Chalamet continued, “No, seriously, I’m sure people know. There’s the memes online. There’s the ‘aged like a fine wine.’”

Chalamet also shared that before the show, he did a little research on Carell and Colbert. The two comedians have spent a large portion of their careers together, first at Second City, and later on The Daily Show. After seeing photos and videos of them together online, Chalamet told Colbert, “It seems like you guys are in love.”

Beautiful Boy is currently in theaters.
