The trailer for Idris Elba's new comedy series, In The Long Run, has finally been released by British television network Sky.

The series follows the Easmons, a humble and hard-working family that migrated to London from the West African country of Sierra Leone 13 years prior. Walter, who is played by Elba, and Evelyn Easmon earn enough to run the household and send some money back home, but their life turns upside down when Walter's eccentric and fun-loving brother Valentine come to the U.K. Although he ruffles their feathers and disturbs Walter and Evelyn's rigid routine, their son Akuna can't get enough of his "funcle." In The Long Run is set in the 1980's and is loosely based on Elba's childhood in East London.

Besides Elba, you can expect brilliant performances by Bill Bailey, Kellie Shirley, Jimmy Akingbola and Mattie Boys.
Elba also executive produces the show alongside Gina Carter. The show will be directed by Declan Lowney and Cecile Emeke. In the Long Run premieres on Sky One on Thursday, March 29 at 8pm. You'll be able to watch the show via Sky’s video on demand streaming service NOW TV.
