Having a pimple on an average day is a calamity for many, but acne at the Golden Globes? That’s rough. But sh*t happens and no one is perfect, least of all Kendall Jenner. As the model walked the red carpet Sunday night, an acne flare-up was visible on her cheeks. This opened the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star to criticism from people across Twitter.

Grossed out that people are shaming Kendall Jenner for some blemishes on her face. She's human. Every single human on earth gets pimples. I've dealt with bad acne my entire life and I hate when I see people who don't understand ANYTHING about it share their unwanted opinions.

Fans rushed to the star’s defense, and countless others were excited to see that chronic acne doesn’t just go away with fame and fortune.

Before mocking Kendall Jenner on her skin at the Golden Globes why not actually think about how having acne would make you feel. I have days where I won't even leave the house unless I have to, for her to attend an event like that is inspiring to me, it shouldn't be laughed at 😤

The older Jenner sister is no stranger to acne problems. The 22-year-old opened up about her struggle with acne in a blog post back in 2016, according to InStyle. "Where it really impacted me was how self-conscious I became about it," she wrote at the time. "It completely ruined my self-esteem. I wouldn't even look at people when I talked to them."

Kendall decided to not let the negative attention about her skin get her down, though. Quoting one fan’s tweet, the model encouraged acne-prone people everywhere never to let bad skin ruin a good time. “Never let that shit stop you!” she tweeted.
